The Space Workforce Institute is excited to announce the launch of its first assessment-based certificate programs, designed to validate foundational knowledge in space science, engineering, and operations. The first credentials go live on March 19, with additional credentials rolling out shortly after.

SWI has brought together experts from across the space industry to develop workforce standards and professional credentials. These launch credentials cover essential topics, including electromagnetic radiation theory, orbital mechanics, rocket science fundamentals, the space environment, spacecraft design, and mission areas and capabilities.

Each certificate helps employers upskill or reskill their workforces and each validates that professionals have the foundational knowledge to effectively contribute to the rapidly evolving space industry. Whether you’re advancing your career or strengthening your expertise, these credentials recognize standards of knowledge and skills.

To support candidates preparing for these exams, our first authorized training partner, Nova Space, offers specialized courses aligned with each credential. Course links can be found below each certificate description.
